vintage shoe button bracelets
The Bracelets below were made with Victorian shoe buttons (strung between Pearls, or Semi-precious stones), which rotate when worn. These buttons were manufactured out of Mother-of Pearl in the late 1800's - early 1900's and have a wonderful luster to them. Some buttons show a bit of wear, but the majority are from a source that had boxes of unused shoe buttons on hand from back when they'd gone out of fashion. I inherited Victorian Mother-of Pearl shoe buttons from my grandmother's button stash, made myself a bracelet, and as a result I became obsessed with finding more for others to enjoy.
